UNIPMA Information Systems Lecturer Selected as 2026 P2MW National Reviewer
The Information Systems (IS) Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) has achieved national-level recognition. One of its lecturers, Dimas Setiawan, S.Kom., M.Kom., has been officially appointed as a National Reviewer for the 2026 Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW) by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek).
This appointment followed a series of rigorous selection processes designed to recruit competent experts. As a reviewer, Dimas Setiawan, S.Kom., M.Kom., is responsible for assessing the feasibility of business proposals, providing guidance on business development methodology, and supervising the implementation of grants awarded to students from various universities across Indonesia.
In an interview, he described this as a significant responsibility, considering the tight competition involving 420 academics from all over Indonesia. "I deeply appreciate this trust. Although I initially had doubts about my personal competence, the full support from my colleagues in the study program and the institution encouraged me to take on this national role," stated Dimas Setiawan, S.Kom., M.Kom., on Monday (4/5).
The stringent selection process consisted of three main phases. The administrative stage filtered applicants down to 400 people, followed by a substance test that left only 60 candidates. In the final stage, an interview process determined approximately 40 selected lecturers to serve as national reviewers.
The presence of a UNIPMA representative among the national reviewers reinforces that the academic quality of regional lecturers is competitive with other major universities. This achievement is expected to motivate students, particularly in the Faculty of Engineering, to be more courageous in developing creative and solutive ideas.
With the direct involvement of a lecturer in the national curation process, the transfer of knowledge regarding national entrepreneurship quality standards is expected to be better absorbed within the UNIPMA campus environment. This step also serves as tangible support for the advancement of Indonesian higher education, ensuring that student entrepreneurship programs operate within innovative corridors that provide a broad impact on society.
