UNIPMA Strengthens Preparation for PLP 1 and Microteaching 2026 Through DPL Alignment of Perceptions
Efforts to enhance the quality of prospective educators continue to be carried out by Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) through the Field Experience Practice and Internship Unit (UPPLM). UPPLM successfully held an online event titled “Alignment of Perceptions for PLP 1 and Microteaching with Field Supervising Lecturers (DPL)” on Wednesday (15/4) as an initial step in synchronizing the implementation of field practice activities for 2026.
This strategic activity serves as an important foundation to ensure that the entire process of Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan (PLP) 1 and Microteaching is conducted in a uniform, structured manner and delivers real impact on improving the competencies of prospective teacher students. The event was also attended by Field Supervising Lecturers (DPL), who play a crucial role in guiding and overseeing the program implementation in schools.
In its implementation, the agenda was divided into three main sessions: student assignment handover, perception alignment among supervising lecturers, and coordination with partner schools.
A total of 474 students from various study programs within the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UNIPMA will be deployed to 25 partner schools, consisting of 15 elementary schools, 4 senior high schools, 4 vocational high schools, and 2 early childhood education institutions.
The Head of UPPLM UNIPMA, Ir. Sulistyaning Kartikawati, M.M., M.Pd., officially opened the event. In her remarks, she emphasized that alignment of perspectives between program managers and field supervisors is key to the success of student practicum implementation.
“Standardization of guidance is absolutely necessary. Through this activity, we ensure that all DPL share the same vision in guiding students to observe school culture and master basic teaching skills optimally,” she said.
To strengthen the technical understanding of the DPLs, UPPLM presented three expert speakers who discussed key aspects of the program implementation.
The first session was delivered by Dr. Tantri Mayasari, M.Pd., who explained the PLP 1 mechanism. She emphasized the importance of systematic observation of school culture, organizational structure, and learning dynamics as initial preparation before students enter teaching practice.
Next, Dr. Cerianing Putri P., M.Pd., presented the Microteaching mechanism. She highlighted the importance of teaching simulations in laboratories as a safe practice space to develop pedagogical skills and build students’ confidence.
Meanwhile, Dr. Lingga Nico P., M.Pd., discussed the digitalization system of PLP 1 and Microteaching. He explained the use of information systems for monitoring, reporting, and assessment processes to ensure transparency, efficiency, and integration.
After the presentations, the session continued with a discussion and Q&A segment moderated by Tri Andari, M.Pd. The discussion ran actively and interactively, with DPL participants providing input and confirming technical aspects of field implementation.
Through this alignment of perceptions activity, UNIPMA hopes that the implementation of PLP 1 and Microteaching in 2026 will be more standardized, high-quality, and capable of producing professional teachers ready to face the challenges of the education sector.
As a follow-up, UPPLM has also scheduled a briefing session for PLP 1 and Microteaching students, which will be held on Thursday (16/4) online, as initial preparation before students are deployed to partner schools.
