Thesis Under Examination, UNIPMA Students Strengthen Mental and Intellectual Readiness Toward Excellence
Final-year students of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) are currently entering a crucial phase in their academic journey. The thesis is not merely a graduation requirement, but also serves as a platform to demonstrate scientific competence as well as the intellectual maturity developed throughout their years of study.
Academic activities have intensified significantly. Students are actively engaging in consultations with their supervisors, deepening their academic literature reviews, and refining their scientific writing in a systematic manner. This process demands persistence, discipline, and strong critical thinking skills in formulating and addressing research problems.
Indra Cahaya, a student from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Study Program, stated that the main challenge in writing a thesis lies in finding relevant and credible references.
“Finding appropriate academic sources is a challenge in itself. However, I remain optimistic that I will be able to complete my thesis on time with optimal results,” he said during an interview on Thursday (9/4).
Meanwhile, Rohman Harianto, a student of the Guidance and Counseling (BK) Study Program at FKIP, noted that the thesis writing process is inseparable from both internal and external dynamics. “The biggest challenge actually comes from within, especially in maintaining motivation amid various academic pressures. This often leads to doubt, particularly when seeing peers who progress more quickly,” he explained.
On the other hand, support from the university’s academic environment plays a significant role in strengthening the process. The library facilities are utilized optimally as sources of academic references, while student interactions through academic discussions foster a collaborative and productive learning ecosystem.
Through the thesis writing process, students are not only required to complete their final academic task but are also shaped into individuals who are critical, adaptive, and solution-oriented. This aligns with Universitas PGRI Madiun’s (UNIPMA) commitment to producing outstanding and competitive graduates, in line with the “impactful campus” spirit promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
The results of students’ theses are expected not only to provide academic value but also to contribute meaningfully to society, particularly in helping solve problems in education and social life.
With continuously growing determination and strong support from various parties, students remain optimistic in completing their theses with the best possible outcomes, while also bringing pride to their alma mater in professional fields and society at large.
