FEB UNIPMA Holds Coaching Clinic with Bank BTPN Syariah, Strengthening Student Graduate Quality
The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) continues to strengthen the quality of its graduates through strategic collaboration with industry. One such initiative was realized through a Coaching Clinic on the Implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in collaboration with Bank BTPN Syariah, held in Rooms C.403, 404, and 405 at FEB UNIPMA on Tuesday (April 7).
This activity is a continuation of a previously established collaboration initiated on Thursday (March 12), which was conducted in a hybrid format. The coaching clinic focused on strengthening the implementation of project-based learning (Project-Based Learning/PBL), particularly in mentoring ultra-micro business groups supported by Bank BTPN Syariah.
In this program, students are directly involved in assisting ultra-micro entrepreneurs. The activity is integrated into the Entrepreneurship course and runs for one semester. Students not only learn theoretically but also engage directly in identifying problems, designing solutions, and providing continuous assistance.
The event was attended by the Vice Rector I of UNIPMA, Prof. Dr. Marheny Lukitasari, M.Pd., along with FEB leadership and faculty members. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of transforming the role of lecturers from mere instructors into coaches who can encourage students to think critically and adaptively.
“Students must be trained to face real challenges in society. Maintain good communication, absorb as much knowledge as possible for the future, and make the most of this collaboration to build strong competencies,” she stated.
Representatives from Bank BTPN Syariah present at the event included Vini Daru Perdana (Daya Activation & Partnership Head), Mohamad Faathir Al Hakim (Daya System Development & Data Monitoring Leader), Alina Hadianti (Daya Activation Leader), and Bambang Sutiyono (Daya Partnership Officer). Their presence provided technical reinforcement regarding mentoring strategies based on real needs in the field.
Through this coaching clinic, students are expected to produce concrete outputs, including conducting assessments and identifying business group problems, designing solution frameworks to be presented at the seventh meeting, carrying out at least four mentoring sessions during the program, and organizing a product expo as the final outcome of the activity.
This initiative is also part of FEB UNIPMA’s efforts to build an economic and business ecosystem within the campus that is integrated with industry and community needs. The synergy between higher education and the business sector is expected to produce graduates who are not only academically competent but also socially aware and capable of solving real-world problems.
Through this program, FEB UNIPMA is optimistic about producing graduates who are well-prepared, competitive, and capable of making meaningful contributions—not only to themselves but also to society and regional development.
