KPPGRI UNIPMA Officially Opens! Promotes Development of Scout Leaders and Pandega Members

The PGRI University Scout Camp (KPPGRI) was officially inaugurated as an effort to enhance the quality of scout leaders and members, particularly Pandega Scouts, across PGRI universities in East Java. The three-day event, held from March 27–29, 2026, took place at Brumbun Tourism Village, Wungu District, Madiun Regency, and was attended by approximately 57 participants.

The program was organized by the Scout Movement, Front Groups 01.097 and 01.098 Racana Pangeran Timoer–Racana Retno Djumilah, based at Universitas PGRI Madiun. Carrying the theme “Weaving Brotherhood and Strengthening Darma,” KPPGRI is designed as a platform to strengthen social skills, teamwork, and life skills that are applicable in community life.

The opening ceremony was led by UNIPMA Rector, Dr. H. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., accompanied by Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Jeffry Handhika, M.Pd., M.Si., and Racana Retno Djumilah Advisor, Dr. Candra Dewi, S.Pd., M.Pd. The presence of university leadership underscored institutional support for developing human resources in the field of scouting.

Zahra Siti Fajarani, the head of the event, stated that the program serves as both a form of service and a learning opportunity for participants. “This activity is conducted to improve the quality of Scouts, especially Pandega, through strengthening social skills and life skills,” she said on Friday (27/3).

During the program, participants engaged in various educational and participatory activities, including tours of historical village sites, seminars, community service, tree planting, public service, and outbound activities such as river tubing.

Additionally, participants received training on village potential and environmental preservation as part of efforts to raise awareness of sustainable development.

Through this program, the committee hopes to foster stronger bonds among Scout members while increasing social and environmental awareness. Furthermore, KPPGRI aims to shape individuals who are skilled, responsible, and possess a strong spirit of service to the community.
