UNIPMA Records Brilliant Achievements, Ready Towards Superior Accreditation 2027
Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) closes the year 2025 with a series of strategic achievements, both at the institutional level and the achievements of the academic community. UNIPMA Rector, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., emphasized that all these achievements become a strong foundation to realize the big target of superior institutional accreditation in 2027.
The most prominent quality improvement is seen in study program accreditation. If previously UNIPMA only had four study programs (Prodi) with the superior predicate, in 2025 that number jumped to nine study programs. “This is a significant leap and shows the consistency of academic quality improvement,” said Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd, Tuesday (23/12), yesterday.
Government trust in UNIPMA also continues to strengthen. UNIPMA was again appointed by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education as the organizer of the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG). Every year, UNIPMA consistently obtains PPG quotas, both for prospective teachers and certain teachers. In addition, various competition programs from the ministry are also routinely successfully achieved.
At the regional level, UNIPMA's institutional achievements are increasingly solid with the acquisition of two first ranks at the LLDIKTI Region VII Superior Campus Awards, respectively in the cooperation and student achievement categories. Meanwhile, at the PT PGRI national level, UNIPMA recorded proud achievements by winning five award categories, consisting of three second ranks, one third rank, and one fourth rank.
Strengthening human resources becomes the main focus of institutional development. Throughout 2025, the number of lecturers with doctoral degrees increased significantly to reach 100 people. UNIPMA also added two new professors, so the number of professors continues to grow. Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., emphasized that UNIPMA provides quotas and full support for lecturers to continue doctoral studies through internal scholarships or state programs.
In academic career development, UNIPMA encourages all lecturers to at least reach the functional position of Lector. In 2026, UNIPMA targets the addition of two more professors, so the total reaches at least six people.
Learning quality improvement is also supported by the renewal of facilities and infrastructure. One of them is through the development of blended learning classes that allow offline and online lectures to take place simultaneously. This facility is a form of ministry appreciation for UNIPMA's success in implementing innovative learning.
At the international level, UNIPMA continues to expand cooperation networks. Most recently, UNIPMA signed memorandums of understanding with universities in Taiwan and India. The cooperation includes guest lecturer programs, student exchanges, to academic cultural exchanges. According to Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., international collaboration provides global experience for lecturers and students while simultaneously driving institutional quality improvement.
National cooperation is also strengthened with various state universities and almost all PGRI universities in Indonesia. Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., emphasized that higher education institutions cannot develop optimally without solid collaboration.
Entering 2026, UNIPMA centers attention on strategic stages as prerequisites for superior institutional accreditation in 2027. Main priorities include increasing the number of superior study programs, strengthening human resources, and increasing lecturer and student productivity. In that year, UNIPMA also undergoes the re-accreditation process for four study programs with the target of all achieving the superior predicate.
In addition, renovation and redesign of buildings continue to be carried out to support the opening of new study programs, including the pharmacist professional program and the doctoral program (S3) which are currently still in the evaluation stage and scheduled to undergo field assessment in 2026.
“The 2025 achievements deserve gratitude because they are the result of the hard work of the entire academic community. The next challenge is to maintain and simultaneously improve these achievements so that the target of superior institutional accreditation can be realized,” concluded Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd.
