The Alumni Association (IKA) of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) officially inaugurated the Regional Coordinator (Korwil) of Magetan Regency as part of the alumni organization's strategic work program series. The event took place at the Pendopo Hall of Magetan Regency, Tuesday (9/12), yesterday, and was combined with an Education Talkshow themed “UNIPMA Synergy in Building Superior Human Resources in Magetan Regency.”

The Committee Chairperson, Dr. Rischa Pramudia Trisnani, M.Pd., in her report emphasized that the formation of the Magetan Korwil is concrete proof of IKA UNIPMA's commitment to expanding contributions in the regions and presenting programs relevant to the needs of the local community.

"We encourage this Korwil to become a vessel for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and good practices for academics, practitioners, and education figures," said Dr. Rischa, hoping the regional coordinator would become a collaborative space.

In this activity, as many as 16 alumni were officially inaugurated as Korwil administrators. This event also attracted high enthusiasm with a total attendance of 328 participants, including 144 elementary school teachers, 58 Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers at the Junior High School level, and 10 alumni from Magetan.

Dr. Rischa added that this inauguration was designed as a starting point for strengthening the role of UNIPMA alumni through education programs, service, and sustainable partnerships for Magetan Regency.

The Vice Rector for Field I of UNIPMA, Dr. Elva Nuraina, S.E., M.Si., emphasized the crucial role of alumni as a reflection of campus quality in the public sphere. “The inauguration of this Korwil is not just organizational structuring, but a strategic momentum to expand the role of alumni in regional development. We believe the synergy of the campus, alumni, and local government will birth human resources that are adaptive and competitive,” she asserted.

The inauguration procession continued with the reading of the Decree (SK) by the Chairman of IKA UNIPMA, followed by the symbolic handover of the management Decree by the Deputy Regent of Magetan, Suyatni Priasmoro, S.H., M.H.

The Deputy Regent of Magetan appreciated IKA UNIPMA, which is considered capable of being a strategic partner for the local government. “We welcome the role of IKA UNIPMA in improving the quality of education and community empowerment. The hope is that this synergy becomes increasingly collaborative and provides solutions for the community,” welcomed Suyatni Priasmoro, S.H., M.H.

The series then continued with an Education Talkshow presenting two speakers, namely Drs. Suwata, M.Si., Head of the Magetan Youth and Sports Education Office, and Prof. Dr. Bambang Eko Hari Cahyono, M.Pd., Vice Rector for Field III of UNIPMA.

Both speakers discussed in-depth material regarding strengthening education quality, challenges in improving teacher competence, strategies for regional higher education collaboration, to opportunities for alumni synergy in building superior and character-driven human resources.

Guided by moderator Dwi Rosita Sari, M.Pd., Ph.D., the talkshow session was interactive with active discussions from participants regarding current challenges in the world of education.

Through this inauguration and talkshow agenda, IKA UNIPMA affirms its commitment to continue presenting concrete work programs oriented towards contribution and usefulness for the community.
