Attending LLDIKTI VII PR Workshop, UNIPMA Emphasizes the Importance of Digital Content and Publication
The Higher Education Service Institute (LLDIKTI) Region VII held an Impactful Private Higher Education Public Relations Strengthening Workshop at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo last Friday (November 21). This activity featured public relations representatives from various universities seeking to strengthen public communication strategies, including Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), which was an active participant.
The workshop discussed various strategic steps to build effective digital communication. Among the materials presented were the importance of close collaboration between IT and PR teams, the use of polite and unambiguous language, and the ability to understand audience needs. Participants were also invited to utilize various communication channels such as social media, websites, podcasts, and YouTube so that campus messages are conveyed optimally.
The main focus of the workshop was to produce digital content and publications that are truly impactful. "Good content not only provides information but is also able to move the audience towards positive attitude and behavioral changes," said Rida Fahas, M.Pd., UNIPMA representative from the Bureau of Cooperation and Public Relations (BKH), yesterday, Wednesday (November 26).
She also conveyed the importance of building relationships and collaboration between campuses to strengthen publication reach. "Collaboration content with other universities, such as on Websites, Instagram, or TikTok, is able to expand engagement and provide space to exchange best practices," she added.
In addition, workshop participants also delved into the 6 Steps of ROSTIR framework, starting from audience research, objective setting, strategy formulation, channel selection, implementation, to content result evaluation. This framework serves as an important guide in designing planned and data-driven digital content and publications.
This workshop also emphasized the role of public relations as the vanguard of public communication. Through this agenda, UNIPMA strengthens its commitment to presenting digital communication and publications that are relevant, informative, and impactful. The hope is that every content produced can convey positive messages, strengthen institutional identity, and provide real benefits to the wider community.
