Dr. Sri Lestari, M.Pd., a lecturer and Head of the Cooperation and Public Relations Bureau (BKH) at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), was trusted to be a speaker at the 1st International Conference for Teachers and Educators held by New Era University, the Philippines, on October 23-24.

This international conference was attended by hundreds of teachers and students from the Philippines. The event took place hybridly, with some participants attending directly at the New Era University campus, while others, including Dr. Sri Lestari, M.Pd., from Indonesia, participated online.

Carrying the major theme surrounding “Developing Teacher and Prospective Teacher Competencies in the Global Era”, the conference presented a number of strategic topics such as Globalization for Teachers, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), Hyflex for Internationalization, and Career Pathway and Opportunity for Teachers.

On that occasion, Dr. Sri Lestari, M.Pd., delivered a presentation titled "Gaining Globalization for Teachers". She emphasized the importance of the teacher's role in adapting to technological developments, implementing diverse learning, and thinking globally without abandoning local values and culture.

According to her, the era of globalization demands that educators continuously innovate so that learning remains relevant and internationally competitive. "Teachers must be able to become a bridge between local wisdom and global advancement," said Dr. Sri Lestari, M.Pd.

This activity also serves as a tangible manifestation of the existing cooperation between Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) and New Era University. Dr. Sri Lestari hopes that this cross-country academic collaboration can be continuously expanded.

"Hopefully, in the future, this cooperation will not only stop at organizing conferences but also develop into areas of research, publication, and the exchange of lecturers and students," she stated.
