UNIPMA Student Performs at the XVIII 2025 National MTQ in South Kalimantan
Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) has once again achieved national recognition through one of its best students. Nailum Mustafidatin, from the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (PBSI), was selected by the Kemdikti Saintek Belmawa for the XVIII 2025 National Student Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQMN) competition.
Nailum competed in the Hifzil Qur’an 30 Juz category, a demanding category that requires a high level of memorization. This prestigious competition was held at Lambung Mangkurat University, South Kalimantan, from October 06 to 09.
Nailum Mustafidatin expressed her gratitude and pride in representing the university at her first national-level event.
"This is my first experience participating in a national-level competition. Of course, I wanted to give my best and uphold the good name of the university and the study program," she said yesterday, Tuesday (21/10).
Full support flowed from the UNIPMA academic community. Nailum was directly accompanied by the Vice Rector for Field I, Dr. Elva Nuraina, S.E., M.Si., as well as the Supervising Lecturer, Dr. Rosyida Nurul Anwar, M.Pd.I., who also serves as the MTQ activity supervisor on campus.
Dr. Rosyida Nurul Anwar, M.Pd.I., explained that the MTQMN, held biennially by Belmawa Kemdikti Saintek, holds a weight equivalent to other national competitions such as the Student Creativity Program (PKM) and the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW).
"This year, the MTQMN introduced a new format, which included a national online pre-selection. Every higher education institution under Kemdikti sends students, and then they are selected online," explained Dr. Rosyida Nurul Anwar, M.Pd.I.
She added that the Hifzil Qur’an 30 Juz category has the highest difficulty level because it demands strong memorization and consistency in murojaah (repetition). Nailum's success in qualifying for the national level is clear evidence of the commitment of UNIPMA students to developing their religious potential.
"This is not just a competition event, but also a space to showcase the students' dedication in the field of Islamic studies," she affirmed.
Nailum Mustafidatin's participation in the XVIII 2025 MTQMN reinforces UNIPMA's position as a higher education institution that not only excels academically but is also active in developing religious values and achieving student excellence at the national level.
