The freshmen of UNIPMA have nationally participated in “University English Competition in 2017” conducted by Muhammadiyah University in Ponorogo. This competition was followed by 7 freshmens, from semester three, five, and seven, devided into two teams, namely:  4 freshmen enrolled in AEPT Competition and 3 freshmen enrolled as debeters in English Debate Competition. According to the lead of English Study Program, Mr. Samsul Arifin, S. Pd, M.Pd. a student from English Department of UNIPMA, Puji Laksono, from semester three has absolutely become the first winner of AEPT Competition defeating the whole deligations of State and Private Universities in Indonesia, such as from Surabaya, Yogya, Makassar, Sumatra, etc.

As an addition, Mr. Samsul also stated, “ The freshmen have actually done such a long process taking about 1,5 months to achive that. In that training, the ex-freshman of UNIPMA, from English Department has also involved to give knowledge and encouragemen for confronting the competition”. This competition in fact belongs to a good competition for examining the students’ english skill. Speaking of Puji Laksono, he ever got score 613 in his TOEFL ITP exam in one of State Universities in Surabaya. In which  it is one of TOEFL test having agredited by TOEFL institute internationally. Frankly, there will be a further program to prepare the freshmen of English Department to register Full Bright Aminef schoolarship program from Amerika for a year and also a preparation of S2 Study in Amerika. Several lecturers of English Department have eventually registered that schoolarship program. Mr Samsul coveyed that the ex-freshmen were interested to register this schoolarship program as well.
