The Faculty of Engineering (FT) Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) successfully held the Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) at the FT Building on Monday (15/9). A total of 145 new students from five study programs officially joined the big family of FT UNIPMA.
The event, led directly by the Dean of FT, Nasrul Rofiah Hidayati, S.T., M.Pd., was also attended by the Vice Dean, heads of study programs, and FT lecturers. The presence of new students this year further enlivened the atmosphere of the faculty, which oversees the Informatics Engineering (TIF), Information Systems (SI), Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Electrical Engineering study programs.
PKKMB is a routine agenda to introduce the academic environment, starting from the university, faculty, to the study program level. New students received materials about the vision, mission, history, and facilities of the faculty. In addition, cultural values and campus life ethics were delivered by the dean, as well as introductions to the Faculty Student Association (HMF), study program curriculum and the implementation of the Kampus Berdampak program by the heads of study programs, and the Study Program Student Association (HMPS).
Not only that, students were also introduced to the bureaus and units at UNIPMA that can support academic activities as well as talent and interest development. Through this PKKMB, it is expected that new students of the Faculty of Engineering will be able to adapt more quickly, understand the academic culture, and make use of the available facilities to support achievements in the fields of engineering, entrepreneurship, and education.
