1,000 New UNIPMA Students Enthusiastically Join the Opening of PKKMB 2025

Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) officially opened the 2025/2026 Academic Year’s Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) on Monday, September 8, 2025. A total of 1,000 new students filled Graha Cendekia UNIPMA with great enthusiasm, marking their first step as part of the big UNIPMA family.

Carrying the theme “Integrity, Growing Together, and Impacting the Nation,” this year’s PKKMB is designed as an important momentum for new students to get to know campus life, build character, and prepare themselves to face the challenges of academic life and society.

The opening ceremony was attended by UNIPMA Rector, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd.; Vice Rector I, Dr. Elva Nuraina, S.E., M.Si.; Vice Rector II, Prof. Dr. Marheny Lukitasari, M.Pd.; Vice Rector III, Prof. Dr. Bambang Eko Hari Cahyono, M.Pd.; Vice Rector IV, Dr. Jeffry Handhika, M.Si., M.Pd.; as well as the deans of faculties.

In his remarks, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., emphasized the importance of new students being active and daring to explore themselves. “Campus life is not only about learning theories, but also about practicing communication, leadership, and collaboration. Be active, creative, and innovative students,” he said.

He also advised students not to just become “butterflies” (Kuliah Pulang-Kuliah Pulang—class then straight home), but instead to take every opportunity to expand networks, explore interests, and build a brighter future.

The Chief Organizer of PKKMB, Dr. Muh. Waskito Ardhi, S.Pd., M.Pd., stated that the number of new students may still increase. He explained that PKKMB aims to help students quickly adapt to a campus environment that requires independence and responsibility.

“This year’s theme was chosen because education is not only about producing graduates, but also individuals with integrity, adaptability to the times, and the ability to make a real impact on society, the nation, and the country,” he said.

On the first day, students received various important materials, ranging from “Higher Education in the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0” delivered by the Rector, to “Ethics of Using Information Technology in Higher Education” presented by Vice Rector IV. In addition, the Chair of PPLP-PT PGRI Madiun, along with Vice Rectors I, II, and III, also provided briefings on academics, student affairs, student services, and research.

PKKMB UNIPMA 2025 will run until September 15. The entire series of activities is not only held offline but also broadcast live through Universitas PGRI Madiun’s official YouTube channel, making it widely accessible.

With the spirit of togetherness, PKKMB is expected to mark the beginning of new UNIPMA students’ journey in achieving excellence, building integrity, and making real contributions to the nation.
