Expanding International Partnerships, UNIPMA Signs MoU & MoA with UNC Philippines 

Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) continues to expand its international network as a strategic step toward becoming a globally recognized university. This was realized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the University of Nueva Caceres (UNC), Philippines, held in a hybrid format on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

The signing was attended directly by Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd. (Rector of UNIPMA), accompanied by the Head of the Bureau of Cooperation and Public Relations (BKH), Dr. Sri Lestari, S.Pd., M.Pd., Brigitta Septarini Rahmasari, S.S., M.Pd. from the International Cooperation Division, along with other BKH representatives.

Meanwhile, UNC was represented by President Dr. Fay Lea Patria M. Lauraya, Vice President for Research Extension and Linkage, Christine C. Bautista, and Director of UNC Sustainability Initiatives, Linkage, Internationalization, and Partnerships, Ar. Mariel May S. Gamalinda, together with their delegation.

Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., emphasized that the collaboration covers the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. “As with previous MoUs, the scope of cooperation includes education, research, and community service. The implementation can begin with faculty mobility and later expand into other forms of academic collaboration,” he stated.

In her remarks, Dr. Sri Lestari, S.Pd., M.Pd., explained that the signing of the MoU and MoA marks the beginning of collaboration between the two universities. “With the addition of this new partner, we hope UNIPMA will not only increase the quantity of international collaborations but also enhance the quality of academic activities, particularly in research, faculty exchanges, and student mobility,” she explained.

Through this agreement, UNIPMA reaffirms its commitment to continuously open avenues for global collaboration while encouraging its academic community to become more competitive at the international level.
