UNIPMA Partners with PT. International Test Center Certiport to Strengthen International Certification

Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) continues to demonstrate its commitment to enhancing the quality of graduates who are ready to compete in the digital era. One strategic step taken was establishing a collaboration with PT International Test Center (ITC) Certiport through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) held in the Meeting Room of Campus 1 on Thursday, 17/07/2025.

This collaboration covers information technology training based on the GMetrix platform and the implementation of internationally recognized Computer Competency Tests (UKK). The main focus of the program is the IC3 Digital Literacy certification, globally acknowledged as a benchmark for digital literacy.

Head of UNIPMA’s Computer Unit, Andria, S.Kom., M.Kom., emphasized the importance of this training and certification in addressing the low pass rate of competency exams. “We have introduced a new training scheme called All Program as an alternative to IC3. Although not yet mandatory due to cost considerations, IC3 remains our priority as it has stable fees and proven outcomes,” he explained.

As a demonstration of commitment, UNIPMA has also planned a Training of Trainers program for lecturers and instructors. “They will be equipped with the latest and more modern materials, ready to be implemented in classes, to better support students,” added Andria, S.Kom., M.Kom.

Initially, the program was intended for final-semester students. However, due to high interest, its scope has been expanded to include external institutions. “The Communication and Information Office (Kominfo) of Madiun Regency has already expressed interest in joining. We will allocate the remaining training vouchers for them,” he said.

Head of the UNIPMA Bureau of Cooperation and Public Relations (BKH), Dr. Sri Lestari, M.Pd., also welcomed the collaboration. She noted that the relationship between UNIPMA and PT ITC Certiport has been long established. “Now is the time for UNIPMA to become an official representative of Certiport—not only as a training provider but also as a facilitator of various certification schemes across all programs,” she emphasized.

She added that this collaboration is part of UNIPMA’s efforts to become a campus that is adaptive and responsive to contemporary needs. “This initiative will strengthen UNIPMA’s position while opening opportunities for cross-department competency development among students. It is a strategic investment toward the internationalization of the campus,” stated Dr. Sri Lestari, M.Pd.

Through this collaboration, UNIPMA hopes to produce graduates who are not only academically excellent but also digitally competent, ensuring high competitiveness in the global job market.
