UNIPMA Holds Flag Ceremony to Commemorate the 117th National Awakening Day

Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held a flag ceremony to commemorate the 117th National Awakening Day (Hari Kebangkitan Nasional or Harkitnas) on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. The ceremony, conducted in front of the Integrated Laboratory Building, served as a reflective moment to reaffirm the collective spirit of nation-building.

Carrying the national theme "Rise Together to Realize a Strong Indonesia", UNIPMA echoed the spirit of unity and optimism amidst the challenges of the times. The theme highlights the importance of cross-sector collaboration in strengthening social, economic, and environmental resilience.

UNIPMA Rector, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., served as the ceremony's leader. The event was attended by university leaders, faculty members, administrative staff, and students, and was carried out solemnly, orderly, and meaningfully.

“Commemorating National Awakening Day is not just ceremonial; it is also a reflection of the strategic role of education in shaping a smart, character-driven generation with strong national insight,” the Rector stated in his address.

UNIPMA reaffirmed its commitment to fostering an academic culture rooted in nationalism. Through the values of gotong royong (mutual cooperation), innovation, and competitiveness, the university is determined to actively contribute to building an empowered, just, and sustainable Indonesia.

For UNIPMA, the spirit of National Awakening Day is not merely about remembering history, but a living force that thrives in every academic space and daily activity within the university community.
