He highlighted the importance of mastering both hard skills and soft skills for the graduates.

“A resilient generation is one that possesses critical thinking skills, can solve problems, is creative, innovative, communicative, collaborative, and resilient,” stressed Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd.

Since its establishment, UNIPMA—formed from the merger of IKIP PGRI Madiun, STIE Dharma Iswara Madiun, and STT Dharma Iswara Madiun—has produced 37,027 alumni. These include 733 master’s degree holders, 32,202 bachelor’s degree holders, 707 diploma (associate degree) holders, 1,852 Professional Teacher Education Program alumni, and 1,533 Diploma III alumni.

Currently, UNIPMA has 30 study programs, seven of which have earned “Excellent” accreditation status. These programs are the Master’s in Social Science Education, Bachelor’s in Civic Education, Indonesian Language Education, Biology Education, Economic Education, Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD), and Mathematics Education.

Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., explained that to achieve “Excellent” accreditation, a study program must meet various criteria, including vision-mission alignment, strategic planning, partnerships, human resources, infrastructure, education, research, and community service. To enhance the relevance of education, UNIPMA also collaborates with international universities through joint research and student exchange programs.

Not stopping there, UNIPMA is currently planning to open a Doctoral Program (Ph.D.). With two professors already in place, UNIPMA is optimistic about meeting the requirements to launch the program soon. “Our target is to have at least three additional professors this year to strengthen UNIPMA’s human resources and expedite the realization of the Doctoral Program,” stated Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd.

In line with the Rector of UNIPMA, the Mayor of Madiun, Dr. Drs. H. Maidi, SH, MM, M.Pd., represented by Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare (Kesra) of the Madiun City Government Secretariat, Budi Wibowo, congratulated the graduates. He hoped that the knowledge gained from UNIPMA would be applied for the betterment of society.
