10,000 Students Flood UNIPMA Booth at Pacitan Education Fair 2025

Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) once again demonstrated its prominence as a leading higher education institution by participating in the Pacitan Education Fair 2025. The event, held on January 8-10, 2025, at the Gelora Olahraga Pacitan building, was attended by 40 universities (both public and private) from Yogyakarta, East Java, and Central Java. Thousands of students from senior high schools (SMA), vocational high schools (SMK), and Islamic senior high schools (MAN) in Pacitan Regency flocked to the event to explore higher education opportunities.

Despite logistical challenges, approximately 10,000 students attended the fair, although only about 30% were from 12th grade due to venue and distance limitations. UNIPMA’s booth, strategically positioned third, garnered significant attention. Visitors enthusiastically explored the university’s diverse offerings, including study programs, scholarships, and campus facilities.

The UNIPMA booth also attracted distinguished guests, including the Head of Pacitan Education Office and representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs. These officials received exclusive souvenirs from UNIPMA as tokens of appreciation and a symbol of educational collaboration.

Dr. Muh. Waskito Ardhi, S.Pd., M.Pd., leader of the UNIPMA delegation, highlighted the university’s consistent participation in the event.
“UNIPMA has been a part of this education fair every year. In fact, we are also a permanent sponsor of the Forum of Vocational High School Guidance and Counseling Teachers (MGBK) in Pacitan. This reflects our commitment to expanding access to higher education for students in Pacitan,” he stated in an interview on Thursday, January 9, 2025.

In addition to the fair, UNIPMA seized the opportunity to visit schools in Pacitan, addressing the needs of students who could not attend the fair due to location and capacity constraints.
