Socialization of Graduation Requirements at UNIPMAs Faculty of Law: The Importance of Student Organizations

The Faculty of Law at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held an important socialization event on Friday, 20/12/2024, to outline the graduation requirements that students must fulfill. Held in classrooms 206 and 209, the event was attended by all first-semester students and aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of graduation requirements, particularly those related to participation in student organizations.

One of the key points emphasized was the necessity for students to actively participate in organizations, specifically the Faculty of Law Student Association (HMFH) and the Study Program Student Association (HMPS). These organizations are an integral part of the graduation process and serve as platforms for students to develop leadership skills, expand their social and professional networks, and gain valuable experiences.

The speakers at the event, Dr. Siska Diana Sari, S.H., M.H. (Dean of the Faculty of Law at UNIPMA) and Dr. Sulistya Eviningrum, S.H., M.H. (Head of the Law Study Program at UNIPMA), highlighted the importance of student organizations in supporting the academic and personal growth of students.

Nova Silvianti, the event's Chief Organizer, explained that student organizations are not merely a formality but play a significant role in shaping character and preparing students to face challenges in the professional world.
"Participation in organizations provides students with opportunities to learn time management, teamwork, and to develop various skills that will be highly beneficial in the future," she said.

The socialization event also delved deeper into how organizations can serve as a space for students to actualize their potential. By joining HMFH or HMPS, students not only fulfill graduation requirements but also sharpen their leadership and teamwork abilities—key assets for their future careers.

The event concluded with an open recruitment session for new members of HMFH and HMPS, offering students the opportunity to immediately join and actively participate in these organizations.

With this event, it is hoped that students of the Faculty of Law at UNIPMA will become more aware of the importance of organizations in their academic journey. Through these organizations, they are expected to develop skills that will benefit them not only during their studies but also as they transition into the professional world.
