FEB UNIPMA Holds Alumni Debriefing, Preparing Prospective Graduates to Become Reliable Entrepreneurs
The Faculty of Business Economics (FEB) of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held a briefing for prospective alumni on Thursday, 19/09/2024, yesterday. The event, which was held online through Zoom Meeting and broadcast live on YouTube Universitas PGRI Madiun, is a series of UNIPMA Career Fair 2024, the peak of which will be held at Graha Cendekia UNIPMA on 26 September 2024.
Carrying the theme ‘Becoming Reliable Professionals in the Business World’, this activity aims to equip prospective FEB graduates to be ready to face the world of work, especially in the field of entrepreneurship. With the knowledge that has been obtained during the lecture period, it is hoped that the alumni will be able to apply this knowledge and become successful entrepreneurs like the speakers who attended.
The two speakers presented at the event were Oktavia Purnawati Wijataningrum, S.Pd, (Owner of D'Jamoe Madiun), and M. Tanfidzul Khoiri, S.Ak, (Accounting Study Programme Alumni and Owner of Kandank Oewang). Both shared experiences and insights related to the steps to become a reliable professional in the business world.
Oktavia Purnawati emphasised the importance of having in-depth skills and knowledge to survive in the business world. Meanwhile, M. Tanfidzul Khoiri reinforced this view by inviting prospective alumni to dare to take opportunities and start their own business. Both speakers inspired the participants to be more prepared and steady in their entrepreneurial steps.
The event was also attended by the Dean of FEB, Dr Anggita Langgeng Wijaya, S.E., M.Si., Ak., C.A., CPA, along with lecturers and prospective alumni students. In his speech, the Dean of FEB emphasised the importance of this briefing to provide provisions for prospective graduates to be ready to become successful entrepreneurs. ‘Take as much knowledge as possible from this process, and be prepared to become a successful entrepreneur,’ Dr Anggita said.
This debriefing is expected to open the horizons of prospective alumni, strengthen their mentality to face the world of work, and encourage them to become tough and innovative young entrepreneurs.
