Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held a university-level alumni briefing event for the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year with the theme ‘Ready to Work, Entrepreneurship, and Contribute to Society’, on Wednesday, 18/09/2024, yesterday. The event was held online via Zoom and UNIPMA YouTube.

The debriefing was opened directly by the Rector of UNIPMA, Dr. H. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd. He emphasised the importance of this event to strengthen insight and strengthen friendship between prospective alumni and alumni. In his speech, Dr H. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd. reminded the participants to utilise their skills to compete in the world of work. ‘After graduation, show your abilities and don't hesitate to be an entrepreneur if that's your choice. Don't be picky, just take every opportunity that exists,’ he said.

The chief executive, Mr Dimas Setiawan, M.Kom, reported that the alumni briefing this time was attended by 958 participants, and added that similar activities will be held in each UNIPMA faculty. The schedule is as follows: Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) on 19 September 2024, Faculty of Health and Science (FIKS) and Faculty of Law (FH) on 23 September 2024, Faculty of Engineering (FT) on 24 September 2024, and Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) on 25 September 2024. The culminating event, entitled Career Fair UNIPMA, will be held on 26 September 2024 at Graha Cendekia UNIPMA.

He also added that there were 32 Career Fair partners from Madiun, Magetan, Nganjuk, Kediri, DKI Jakarta, South Jakarta, and Semarang.  The company partners include PT INKA Multi Solusi Trading (IMST), PNM, MUM, Legal Aid Institute, Sun Life Syariah, Mandiri Utama Finance, Global Way Indonesia, SIMGROUP, Anekapay, PT Era Permata Sejahtera, Yamaha Mataram Sakti, Blunder Cokro, BinaArtha, First Media, Genius Master, SWAPRO, Bank Arthaya, Sejahtera Mitra Solusi, Valdo, Jago Net, Private Tutoring Fun Smart Solution, Ganesha Operation, DANGROUP, Kumon Mt. Haryono, Nakamura, English One, Yessles, CKD, Fifgroup Astra, Cun Motor, Smart Mitra Perkasa and others. 

Today's event presented three main speakers: Harum Kusumawati, S.Sos, Plt. (Head of the Madiun City Manpower, Cooperative, Small and Medium Enterprises Office), Andria, M.Kom, MTA, MCE, MOS, MTCRE, CITPM, MCF, (UNIPMA Information Systems lecturer and Founder of PT Elsada Media Group), and Gilang Primayoga, S.Kom, (UNIPMA Information Systems and Network Bureau). The three speakers shared valuable insights and experiences to prepare alumni to face the challenges of the world of work and entrepreneurial opportunities.

This debriefing is expected to provide valuable provisions so that alumni are better prepared to face the world of work and are motivated to contribute positively to society. With various information and insights gained from experienced speakers, participants are expected to be able to take advantage of existing opportunities, overcome career challenges, and play an active role in building a better social and professional environment.
