UNIPMA– Students from the Pharmacy and Sports Science Study Programs, joined under the Student Association of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Sports (HMFIKS) at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), held a free health check service for elderly residents in Kedungmaron Village, Pilangkenceng District, Madiun Regency, yesterday, Tuesday (4/8). The activity was part of a community service program focusing on promotive and preventive efforts through the early detection of health conditions.

The event, themed “Healthy Together with HMFIKS: Health Checks and Aromatherapy Roll-On Making Demonstration,” was led by Mochammad Nurhudha Romadhoni and attended by approximately 30 elderly citizens. The services provided included checking blood pressure, random blood glucose, cholesterol levels, and uric acid, as well as health consultations based on the examination results.

Nia Marsada Rohjati Nengseh, as general chairperson, stated in her interview that the activity aimed to raise public awareness about monitoring health conditions regularly.

"Routine health checks are important so that the public can know their health status earlier and take immediate preventive or management steps," said Nia.

In addition to health services, the students also held a demonstration on how to make aromatherapy roll-ons. This education was provided as an introduction to using aromatherapy to help provide relaxation and enhance comfort in daily activities.

Nia explained that the activity was part of HMFIKS's work program packaged in HMFIKS Action Day. The program combines health services with simple education that the public can apply in their daily lives.

"Through this activity, it is hoped that the community will become more accustomed to undergoing regular health checks and gain knowledge about utilizing aromatherapy as a complement to a healthy lifestyle," she added.

The event received support from the Faculty of Health Sciences and Sports (FIKS) UNIPMA as part of the implementation of community service. This support also serves as a space for students to apply the knowledge and skills obtained during lectures directly in the community.

Currently, new student admissions for the Regular and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programs for the 2026/2027 Academic Year have entered Wave III, which has been officially opened.
