FKIP UNIPMA Partners with Surabaya Training Institute, Electrical Engineering Education Students Facilitated to Join Certified Training
UNIPMA – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) has established a partnership with LPK Bhakti Karya Widya Sentosa, Surabaya, to provide competency training and certification for students and lecturers. The program officially commenced this semester, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday (July 31).
The collaboration focuses on providing additional skills for students, particularly those in the Electrical Engineering Education Study Program. The competency certificates earned through the program will later serve as supporting documents for the Diploma Supplement (SKPI).
Dean of FKIP UNIPMA, Dr. Muh. Waskito Ardhi, S.Pd., M.Pd., stated that the program was designed to equip students with competencies beyond those gained through classroom learning.
"This program begins this semester. Its purpose is to facilitate students, especially those in Electrical Engineering Education, in acquiring additional skills that can support their Diploma Supplement (SKPI)," he said.
In addition to benefiting students, the partnership also provides lecturers with opportunities to participate in training and obtain competency certifications issued by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP). These certifications are based on the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI) and are expected to support the development of the study program.
"We are also facilitating lecturers to participate in training and obtain BNSP certificates that refer to the SKKNI," added Dr. Muh. Waskito Ardhi, S.Pd., M.Pd.
The signing ceremony was attended by FKIP UNIPMA representatives, including Vice Dean II Dwi Rosita Sari, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D., Head of the Electrical Engineering Education Study Program Dr. Ibadullah Malawi, M.Pd., as well as representatives from LPK Bhakti Karya Widya Sentosa.
Beyond training and certification, the partnership also opens opportunities for collaboration in education, research, and community service. Both institutions stated that future program development will be aligned with the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Impactful Campus Program initiated by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.
