Madiun City KONI Collaborates with UNIPMAs IKOR Study Programme to Improve Trainer Human Resources Ahead of Porprov IX 2025
In order to prepare athletes for the Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) IX 2025, KONI Madiun City took a strategic step by holding a Physical Condition Coaching Clinic. This activity aims to improve the quality of sports coaches with a focus on injury prevention and the preparation of effective training programmes.
The Sports Science Study Program (IKOR) of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) is trusted as a partner in organising this activity. Although filled with young lecturers, they have qualified experience in both academic and practical fields.
The main speaker, Agung Dwi Darmawan, S.Pd., M.Pd., who has a background in Sports Injury Prevention and Management (PPCO), shared important knowledge about injury prevention techniques for athletes. With his experience as a sports medical practitioner, including in the Persela U-21 health team and various Pencak Silat events, the material he delivered was very applicable for coaches.
The second speaker, Dr. Ardyansyah Arief Budi Utomo, S.Pd., M.Pd., AIFO-P, provided insights into the Preparation of Exercise Programmes and Measurement of Athlete Fitness. With experience in research and copyrighting Vo2Max measurement applications, as well as a background as a football and athletics coach, Dr. Ardyansyah Arief Budi Utomo, S.Pd., M.Pd., AIFO-P ensured that coaches received practical guidance to maximise athlete performance.
Participated by 40 sports, the Coaching Clinic received a warm welcome. The participants enthusiastically discussed and shared field experiences, signalling the importance of this training in preparing strong and competition-ready athletes. The full support of KONI Madiun City in organising this activity is appreciated because it is considered right on target and provides practical solutions for coaches.
The activity which was held on Friday, 04/10/2024, yesterday at the UNIPMA Integrated Lab, it is hoped that the preparation of athletes ahead of Porprov IX 2025 will be more mature and directed, and able to compete optimally.
