UNIPMA Holds a Hybrid Workshop "Stem for Sustainable Education" in the 49th Anniversary Series
Approaching the 49th Anniversary celebrations, Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) is celebrating various activities, one of which is a hybrid workshop with the theme "STEM for Sustainable Education. This event will last for two days, namely on 16 and 17 May 2024, presenting leading experts from various countries.
This workshop presented Assoc. Prof. Teo Tang Wee from the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore as the keynote speaker. Prof. Teo, who is widely known in the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, shared insights on how STEM education can contribute to educational sustainability.
Apart from that, this workshop also invited Alice T. Rivera, Ph.D from Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) Philippines. Doctor Alice T Rivera delivered material regarding the application of STEM education in global and local contexts, providing rich and varied perspectives for the participants.
This event was even more complete with the presence three well-known academics from UNIPMA, namely Dr. Tantri Mayasari, M.Pd, Dr. Marheny Lukitasari, M.Pd, and Dr. Darmadi, M.Pd. they provided a comprehensive and in-depth explanation regarding the implementation STEM education in Indonesia, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced.
This hybrid workshop was attended by academics, students and education practitioners from various regions, both in person and via online platforms. Participants are invited to discuss and collaborate in formulating new strategies and approaches for sustainable education.
The momentum this workshop is an opportunity to encourage innovation in STEM education in Indonesia. It is hoped that the participants will gain insight and inspiration to continue developing sustainable education.
