Spectacular! The Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program Successfully Presents the Theater Performance "Jati Diri" in the Drama Study and Appreciation Course

The Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (Prodi PBSI) Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) successfully held a theatre performance with the theme "Self Identity" at the Kanigoro Multipurpose Building, Madiun City, Thursday, 18/01/2024. The staging of this theatre performance is part of the final assignment for PBSI UNIPMA semester 5 students in the Drama Study and Appreciation course.

The Identity Theater tells the story of someone who loses something, and then that person searches for their identity. When searching for human identity, we are faced with two problems. Black and white, black the bad parts and then white the journey undertaken.

Before starting the performance, a musical performance of poetry with musical accompaniment as an opening was performed. This aims to add an interesting impression and liven up the atmosphere before the theatre performance takes place.

Head of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (Kaprodi), Mr. Muhammad Binur Huda, S.Pd., M.Pd said that the literary performance performed by semester 5 students is a routine agenda every year.

Mr. Muhammad Binur Huda, S.Pd., M.Pd added that this theatre performance was a means for students to express their hidden talents. "Fellow students have extraordinary talent, they can maximize their potential by joining the studio and PBSI students have good prospects in theater. "The presence of artists who also agree with the students' talents makes this activity run optimally," said Muhammad Binur Huda, S.Pd., M.Pd, Tuesday, 23/01/2024, yesterday.

The drama performance has been prepared for 3 months before the performance. According to reports received by the public relations team, the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program drama brought in a trainer named Mas Tommy from Magetan, East Java, a director named Devita and a script editor, Nonik Wilis.
