Group 33 KKN-T UNIPMA Madiun Encourages Local Economic Growth with the Launch of Innovative Cows Milk Soap

KKN-T Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) group 33 students successfully held MSME training in the form of making milk soap made from the first cow's milk in Tanjungsari village, Jenangan District, Ponorogo Regency. The training was accompanied by Frihatnolo Pardhani Atmojo Chair of the Biology Education Student Association who is familiarly called "AMPIBI" PGRI Madiun University.

This training is a work program prepared by group 33 to provide knowledge as well as increase innovation in dairy products. It is hoped that in the future this program can add new jobs and improve the quality of MSMEs in Tanjungsari village.

This village is an area that produces cow's milk and there is still not much use of fresh milk as an alternative to various flavored milk products. This is the reason why the 33 KKN-T MBKM groups provide training to the community.

Making milk soap requires several tools and materials, including digital scales, measuring cups, a manual stirring machine, a basin, a mould and a cutter. As well as other ingredients used include NaOH, palm oil, sunflower seed oil, coconut oil (VCO), milk, mica dye, and distilled water.

Atikah Firdaus, one of the KKN-T UNIPMA group 33 students, reported that the reason for choosing to make milk soap is one type of popular innovative work. Not only that, the aroma is calming and very beneficial for the skin.

"Quoting from the homecare 24 page, cow's milk soap contains various nutrients and vitamins that are beneficial for the skin, such as being rich in vitamins A, D and protein," said Atikah Firdaus, Thursday, 25/01/2023, yesterday.

Atikah Firdaus also added that the various benefits of milk soap include brightening the skin, moisturizing the skin, helping treat acne, helping reduce skin inflammation, and maintaining skin pH. Another benefit is the aroma, where cow's milk soap can help make someone who uses it feel relaxed and fresh after bathing.

Frihatnolo hopes that this activity can educate the community, especially the women of Pakem Hamlet, to open up business opportunities. Apart from that, Mrs. Zulfa, as the facilitator who provided the place, provided the main raw materials such as fresh cow's milk, which supports the work program of UNIPMA students. "The innovative learning that has been implemented by producing innovative milk products such as milk soap is expected to be a boost to the economy of the Dusun Pakem community".

This training is a concrete step to provide knowledge and introduce innovations in dairy products to the local community. With the milk soap-making training activity, the hope is not only limited to the knowledge and skills gained. But it can foster a spirit of entrepreneurship among the community.

Example of a work program for UNIPMA Madiun KKN-T students group 33 bringing a positive spirit in creating progressive change in Tanjungsari village. The success of this training is the first step towards developing a more sustainable and inclusive local economy.
