Establish Cooperation MMSU Philippines and BIPA-BKH UNIPMA Hold Indonesian-Tagalog Webinar

Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) as the largest TTI in western East Java continues to innovate by developing lines of cooperation through the Cooperation and Public Relations Bureau (BKH). One form of developing foreign cooperation that is being developed is language and cultural exchange through the Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) program, which is a division of BKH UNIPMA.

During the period (24-28/1/2023) in collaboration with Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) Philippines, BIPA UNIPMA held a webinar series for the BIPA -Tagalog (Artes-Y-Letras) Program. This webinar was attended by 104 UNIPMA students and lecturers and 116 MMSU students and lecturers.

This activity promotes cultural and language exchange where participants from Indonesia learn Tagalog while participants from the Philippines learn Indonesian. The enthusiasm of the participants was extraordinary for mastering Tagalog and Indonesian because the webinar discussed not only the theoretical level but also practice.

Interestingly, at the end of the session, participants were asked to practice introducing themselves, reading poetry, and singing in two languages.
