Empowering Forest Supporting Communities by Making Artificial Vegetation for Klanceng Bees 

The Student Association of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Madiun (HMFT UNIPMA) received the 2022 Student Organization Capacity Building (PPK Ormawa) Grant which was funded by the Director of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of 27.5 million.

The Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK Ormawa) in 2022 is an activity that is realized in the form of community service and empowerment carried out by student organizations which in its implementation is expected to improve the welfare of the target community. The PPK Ormawa activities carried out by HMFT UNIPMA, began with the Ceremonial Opening of the PPK Ormawa activities by the Vice Chancellor for Cooperation, Internship, Publication, Quality Assurance and Alumni, Dr. Jeffry Handika, M.Pd., M.Sc. with the theme of Creative Industry, Village Community Supporting Forests Through Lanceng Bee Livestock Activities, which took place behind Alas Wungu Warung on Wednesday, (8/24/2022).

He said that through the PPK Ormawa program in 2022, students hoped that students would be able to make the location a tourist attraction for the klaceng bee education for the general public, become a place for research activities for students and lecturers in developing the clanging honey livestock business and make a forest farmer group business unit so that it can improve the welfare of the residents. .

The program is run by the PPK HMFT team of 12 students with the target of the Ngudi Waluyo Sejahtera Forest Farmers Group (KTH). The PPK activity created artificial vegetation that supports the production of lancing honey bees and pioneered the establishment of an educational center for lancing bees to increase the usefulness of lancing honey livestock as well as digitally marketing honey products.

 

Agus Purwanto, Chair of KTH Ngudi Waluyo Sejahtera, appreciated UNIPMA FT students, with this program, it is hoped that this collaboration will run well and be sustainable and be able to raise the clanceng bees to become a leading educational tourism location in the Madiun area.

The ceremonial activity was attended by the Vice Chancellor for Cooperation, Internship, Publication, Quality Assurance and Alumni, Dean AND Deputy Dean of FT UNIPMA, PPK Advisor Lecturer, Lurah Wungu, Chair of KTH Ngudi Waluyo Sejahtera, head of the Student Affairs Bureau, Tourism and Youth Office of Madiun Regency, The Forestry Service Office, the Madiun Regional Forestry Service Branch as well as the youth in the area where the activity is located.
