UNIPMA Welcomes FEB Student Exchange Program Students from Medan Area University (UMA)

Tuesday, September 14, 2021. The event for the Handover and Welcoming of Students who are participants of the 2021 Independent Student Exchange Program has been held. The event will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 starting at 08.30 WIB - Finished.

The event began with singing the anthem Indonesia Raya, which was hosted by Apriyanti, SE., MM. Followed by remarks from the Dean of FEB UMA, Dr. Ihsan Effendi, M. Si

Dr. Ihsan Effendi, M.Si in his speech thanked UNIPMA especially FEB UNIPMA for accepting us as participants in the Student Exchange. UMA's relationship with UNIPMA has been very close since 2018 in the same program.

“We are grateful for this relationship to be re-established. We are happy to partner with UNIPMA. Because it is very surprising that at UNIPMA the Student Exchange activities are far more advanced than UMA,” he said.

This encourages UMA as a new university to imitate the progress and success of UNIPMA. Including UNIPMA, there have been many student exchanges from abroad. “This is very extraordinary and makes us very happy to be able to study with UNIPMA. Of course, we will follow UNIPMA's steps because it is much more successful in this Student Exchange program," he said.

At the same time, Ihsan handed over 9 students of FEB UMA's management study program, and advised them to always follow well and maintain the good name of the alma mater. The hope is that UMA and UNIPMA can work together in other fields as well.

FEB UNIPMA welcomed 9 students from UMA. And will provide good service and will educate well like UNIPMA students themselves.

Dr. Aglis Andhita Hatmawan, MM as the Dean of FEB UNIPMA in his speech said, "This Student Exchange is an activity initiated by the Ministry of Education and Culture, as an effort to build a sense of tolerance among students through learning spaces. So that student exchange activities and exploration of cultural diversity are formed, and later provide experiences between students with various cultures within their respective universities.

Hopefully this activity can run smoothly and can provide experience to FEB UNIPMA and UMA students. So that we can produce students who are superior and have competencies that match the industrial world.

Together with this, Aglis also submitted 9 students to FEB UMA by asking for permission to study at UMA. And advised UNIPMA students to maintain the good name of UNIPMA's almamter, "learn and absorb, so that it will be useful in the future." he said.

"I also hope that this collaboration can later spread to other fields, both research, service and teaching, hopefully this hope can be achieved." Close it.
