Sustained Academic Development Efforts: UNIPMA FKIP English Education Study Program Conducts Benchmarking Visit to UNY FBSB
UNIPMA – The English Education Study Program of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), conducted a benchmarking visit to the English Education Study Program of the Faculty of Languages, Arts, and Culture (FBSB), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), on Tuesday (July 28). The activity aimed to strengthen academic development while expanding collaboration between the two universities.
The benchmarking program featured discussions and the exchange of experiences on study program management, curriculum development, and academic quality enhancement. This annual agenda also served as an initial step toward establishing sustainable collaboration in implementing the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi).
The UNIPMA delegation was led by the Head of the English Education Study Program, FKIP UNIPMA, Dr. Erlik Widiyani Styati, S.Pd., M.Pd., accompanied by the Vice Dean II of FKIP, Dwi Rosita Sari, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D., along with Dr. Fitra Pinandhita, S.Pd., M.Pd., Dr. Lulus Irawati, S.S., M.Pd., Lusia Kristiasih Dwi P., S.S., M.A., Vita Vendityaningtyas, S.S., M.Pd., and Arri Kurniawan, S.S., M.Pd.
During the meeting, both study programs exchanged ideas on strategies to improve academic quality and study program governance. The outcomes of the discussion are expected to serve as references in formulating policies that are more adaptive to the evolving landscape of education.
Dr. Erlik Widiyani Styati, S.Pd., M.Pd., stated that benchmarking is an annual program regularly conducted to strengthen relationships with partner universities.
"This activity opens up broader opportunities for collaboration in study program development," she said.
She added that the discussions also focused on opportunities for collaboration in implementing the Three Pillars of Higher Education. "The collaboration covers the areas of education and teaching, research, and community service. We hope that an expanding network of partnerships will support the continuous improvement of our study program's quality," she added.
This benchmarking activity is expected to further strengthen the synergy between the English Education Study Program of FKIP UNIPMA and FBSB UNY. The collaboration is anticipated to benefit lecturers and students while supporting the enhancement of educational quality at both institutions.
Registration for new students in the Regular Program and the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Program for the 2026/2027 Academic Year is now officially open.
