UNIPMA and 10 Partner Universities Strengthen International Collaboration at Global Students Research Summit 2025
Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) once again reinforced its academic presence on a global scale through active participation in the Global Students Research Summit 2025, held virtually on Thursday, 26/06/2025.
Carrying the theme “Youth, Research, and the SDGs: Shaping Sustainable Future Together”, the event served as a collaborative platform for students from various countries to voice their ideas and research findings related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The global collaboration involved universities from four countries, including:
• Universitas PGRI Madiun (Indonesia)
• Central Mindanao University (Philippines)
• Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (Philippines)
• Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (Philippines)
• Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (Malaysia)
• Instituto Superior Cristal (Timor-Leste)
• Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur (Indonesia)
• Universitas Tunas Pembangunan (Indonesia)
• Universitas Mpu Sindok (Indonesia)
• Walailak University (Thailand)
• Hatyai University (Thailand)
In his opening remarks, Dr. Jeffry Handhika, M.Pd., M.Si., Vice Rector IV of UNIPMA, officially inaugurated the event. He emphasized the importance of youth involvement in creating a sustainable future through research and cross-border collaboration.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sri Lestari, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of the Bureau of Cooperation and Public Relations (BKH) UNIPMA, explained that the summit included three main categories: best paper, best presenter, and best poster. Students from each university submitted their scientific papers and posters, which were then presented during the summit.
Demonstrating strong academic commitment, UNIPMA also sent several lecturers to serve as reviewers for the event:

• Dr. Maya Novitasari, S.E., M.Ak., CPFR (Faculty of Economics and Business)
• Yesi Yunita Sari, S.Kom., M.Cs. (Faculty of Engineering)
• Dr. Sulista Evaningrim, S.H., M.H. (Faculty of Law)
• Apt. Weka Sidha Bhagawan, M.Farm. (Faculty of Health and Science)
“This Global Students Research Summit is a strategic step in building academic networks among universities while providing students with a platform to showcase their research quality and presentation skills at the international level,” said Dr. Sri Lestari on Saturday, 28/06/2025.
She also added that this event not only promotes a spirit of collaboration but also strengthens the integration of sustainable development goals into higher education. UNIPMA hopes that active participation in international forums like this will continue to spark innovative and global-minded enthusiasm among students.
