UNIPMA Rector and PPLP PT PGRI Madiun Chair Send Off UNIPMA Lecturers for Hajj 2025
The Rector of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., together with the Chair of PPLP PT PGRI Madiun, Drs. H. Imam Sujudi, sent off five lecturers who will perform the Hajj pilgrimage in 2025 at the Rectorate Meeting Room, Campus 1, on Wednesday, 14/05/2025.
The five lecturers departing from various faculties are Dr. Marheny Lukitasari, M.Pd., Ir. Ani Sulistyarsi, M.M., M.Si., Aan Zainal Muttaqin, ST., MT., IPP., Ihtiari Prastyaningrum, S.Si., M.Si., and Dra. Purwandari, M.M., M.Pd. The send-off ceremony was also attended by several university leaders, including Dr. Elva Nuraina, SE., M.Si (Vice Rector for Academic Affairs), Dr. Bambang Eko Hari Cahyono, M.Pd (Vice Rector for Student Affairs), Dr. Jeffry Handika, M.Pd., M.Si (Vice Rector for Institutional Development), and Dr. Sri Lestari, S.Pd., M.Pd (Head of UNIPMA Human Resources Bureau).
In his remarks, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation and prayers for the prospective pilgrims. He emphasized the importance of maintaining health while in the Holy Land, as the Hajj requires physical endurance and mental readiness.
“Reduce physically draining activities. You will be staying there for around 40 days, with very different weather, food, and culture. You must be good at adapting,” said Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd.
Meanwhile, Drs. H. Imam Sujudi also shared his experiences from his past pilgrimage. He highlighted the importance of simplicity and rationality during the pilgrimage, including in dealing with daily situations in the Holy Land.
“Eat what is available, don’t overthink about tomorrow’s meal. Focus your intentions and energy on worship. Don’t talk too much, but pray more,” he said.
In addition to spiritual advice, both figures also reminded the importance of praying for UNIPMA to always be granted progress and blessings. “Carry the good name of the university, pray that UNIPMA continues to grow and become an excellent campus,” they said in unison.
The event concluded with a joint prayer and a photo session, symbolizing the unity and well wishes of the UNIPMA academic community for those undertaking the fifth pillar of Islam.
