Public Lecture with Mayor Madiun, Dr. Maidi: All Universities Like UNIPMA Must Be of Quality 

PGRI Madiun University held a public lecture inviting the Mayor of Madiun, Dr. Drs. H. Maidi, S.H., M.M., M.Pd or usually called Dr. Maidi as resource persons. The theme of this guest lecture is, "Madiun advances to the world, guaranteeing sustainable education." This event took place at Graha Pakar on Thursday, 25/04/2024.
In this event, Dr. Maidi talked about the importance of sustainable education and the role of students in making it happen. The Mayor was not alone, he was accompanied by Dr. Fitra Pinandhita, M.Pd who acted as moderator to help facilitate the discussion between Dr. Maidi and public lecture participants.
Participants came from postgraduate student representatives, Student Executive Board (BEM), Study Program Student Association (HMPS), Professional Teacher Education (PPG), Independent Student Exchange (PMM), and International Credit Transfer (ICT) Universitas PGRI Madiun. Apart from that, lecturers from UNIPMA were also present.
Greetings from Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd (Rector PGRI Madiun University), who also started the event full of enthusiasm. He expressed his hope for the contribution of public lecture participants in improving the quality of education in the city of Madiun.
Dr. Maidi, on the opportunity given, invited the public lecture participants, especially students, to continue learning and enrich their experiences. He advised that all universities such as Universitas PGRI Madiun must be of better quality and improve in terms of education.
“Building a nation requires good human resources. If human resources are superior, then the city and country will progress." Said Dr. Maidi, Thursday, 25/04/2024, yesterday when interviewed.
The spotlight on the importance of quality Human Resources (HR) in advancing cities and countries is the main study of this public lecture. Considering the strategic role of education in forming the next generation who is creative, innovative and able to be competitive.
The event was also enlivened by musical arrangements before the activity started. Excitement occurred when the material was given by the mayor of Madiun to the participants. It is hoped that the public lectures that have been held will become the door to concrete steps in improving education in Indonesia.
This public lecture is not only a forum for exchanging ideas, but also a momentum to reflect on the role of education in bringing progress to Madiun and Indonesia as a whole.
