The city of Madiun is an area rich in artistic and cultural diversity. Starting from culinary, arts and culture, there is no second wealth owned by the city of Madiun. Pecel rice, brem food, dongkrek art, batik with fighter patterns, martial arts, and traditional dances. Thus, the richness of this diversity is very important to be cared for and preserved.

One way to introduce these arts and culture to the public is to keep up with the times. An example of this development lies in the fashion industry, where it is very rapidly creating more and more icons of various types of clothing products.

Through fashion, the city of Madiun has various distinctive iconic forms for being introduced and preserving local identity. Clothing with certain city-specific icons is a product that can be a means of local wisdom and cultural preservation in the community.

This synergy was channeled and made the Entrepreneurship Student Creativity Program Team (PKMK) Universitas PGRI Madiun motivated and create works in the world of fashion. The team consisting of 4 students named Fania (PG PAUD Study Program), Miftah (PTE Study Program), Tiara and Umma (PAUD PG Study Program), under the accompanying lecturer Dr. Rosyida Nurul Anwar, S.Pd., M.Pd.

I can produce innovative works by creating clothing products with distinctive cultural and artistic icons of the City of Madiun as an effort to manage and preserve Madiun.

The purpose of creating clothes themed on the arts and culture of the city of Madiun is to maintain the memories of the people to get to know the city of Madiun in a wider area. The hope is that the younger generation will love the arts and culture typical of the City of Madiun.
