Faculty of Engineering, University of PGRI Madiun Conducts 2023 Industrial Visit to PT INKA Multi Solusi (IMS) Madiun 

The Faculty of Engineering, University of PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) conducted a 2023 industrial visit to PT INKA Multi Solusi (IMS) Madiun on Jalan Raya Surabaya Madiun Km.161 No.1 Bagi, Madiun District, Madiun Regency, East Java.

This industrial visit aims to broaden students' insight into their academic journey and future career. During this industrial visit, representatives of the Head of Engineering Faculty of Engineering Study Program were also present, as well as Deputy Dean 1 of the UNIPMA Faculty of Engineering.

When the coordination of the departure of the industrial visit was led by Mr. Dimas Setiawan, S.Kom., M.Kom, he is a lecturer from the Faculty of Information Systems Engineering Study Program.

PT INKA Multi Solusi (IMS) is a subsidiary of PT INKA (Persero) which provides “Total Solution Provider” services in the field of construction and trading of railway components/spare parts and land transportation products. The UNIPMA Faculty of Engineering had the opportunity to visit to gain knowledge there.

In this 2023 industrial visit, the group from the Faculty of Engineering consisted of lecturers and students from the Information Systems Engineering Study Program, Electrical Engineering Study Program, Industrial Engineering Study Program, Informatics Engineering Study Program and Chemical Engineering Study Program.

The industrial visiting group toured the site and saw the workmanship process by the workers accompanied by explanations from practitioners. Next, they were gathered in a room to receive presentations from practitioners and then continued with the discussion session.

Muhamad Nuralam, a 5th semester student of Electrical Engineering said that this industrial visit was to increase knowledge about the industry at PT INKA Multi Solusi (IMS).

“We get new insights about the potential and opportunities that students must prepare for in the future. we also know practical knowledge that so far has not been obtained in class and of course it will help our career path in the future.” Said Muhamad Nuralam, a student who is fondly called Alam. The hope with this industrial visit is that students gain practical understanding in the industrial world. Such as hands-on experience in the field, industry insight, networking, motivation, inspiration, career application, knowledge, understanding of ethics and values, understanding of teamwork, and introduction to creative innovation.
