Diverse Scholarships and Admission Pathways: UNIPMA Student Expands Access to Information for Prospective Students

UNIPMA — Rinda Tri Kusuma, a Mathematics Education student at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), is making the most of her internship at the Bureau of New Student Admissions (PMB) to expand access to educational information. Through direct services, school outreach, and the production of creative digital content, student involvement has become part of the university’s strategy to attract prospective students.

The internship, which ran from March 2024 to October 2026, placed Rinda at the forefront of information services, admission administration, and promotional activities at educational exhibitions (campus expos).

Head of the UNIPMA PMB Bureau, Dr. Candra Dewi, M.Pd., praised the students’ active contributions to strengthening the university’s public information services. According to her, direct student involvement helps establish more effective communication with younger audiences.

“Interns do more than assist with administrative tasks; they also actively represent the university by bringing campus information closer to the public through both direct outreach and social media,” said Dr. Candra Dewi, M.Pd.

Meanwhile, Rinda explained that her hands-on experience at the PMB Bureau had strengthened her communication skills and deepened her understanding of the university’s operational systems.

“During my internship, I learned how to manage applicant data verification while also assisting prospective students directly as they sought advice about their study options,” Rinda said on Monday (October 19).

As an information center, the UNIPMA PMB Bureau offers several admission pathways, including the regular admission route, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), transfer admission, and the Indonesia Smart College Card scholarship program (KIP Kuliah).

In addition to flexible admission pathways, UNIPMA offers five scholarship programs to help ease the financial burden of higher education. These include scholarships for children of PGRI members, students from outside Java, students with achievements at the regency level, eligible KIP Kuliah recipients, and Qur’an memorizers with a minimum of five juz memorized.

The university also regularly offers tuition discounts during national commemorations, including Independence Day, National Education Day, and Teachers’ Day.

Through the integration of administrative services and digital platforms such as Instagram Reels and TikTok, UNIPMA continues to optimize the dissemination of admissions information. This initiative not only expands the university’s promotional reach but also equips students with practical, workplace-relevant skills.

Further information about study programs, admission schedules, and requirements is available through the Instagram account @unipma_pmb, the official website at www.unipma.ac.id, or in person at the PMB Bureau at Campus 1, Jalan Setiabudi No. 85
