UNIPMA – The Student Association of the Accounting Education Study Program (HIMADIKSI) at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held a digital accounting webinar titled “Optimizing Digital Accounting in the World of Work through the Use of Accurate Software” on Saturday (20/6). The online event, conducted via Zoom Meeting, was attended by Accounting Education students from semesters 2, 4, 6, and 8, as well as lecturers as supervisors.

The webinar featured Internal Accounting Consultant at PT Selecta, Cicilia Astuti Suma Anggraeny, S.Pd., as the speaker. In her presentation, she explained the use of Accurate software in financial recording and management processes, the importance of mastering digital accounting skills, and the application of digital accounting systems that are widely used in the professional world today.

“The ability to use accounting software is no longer an added value, but already a necessity for prospective workers in the accounting field,” said Cicilia Astuti Suma Anggraeny.

The event was organized as an effort to improve students’ understanding and competence in digital accounting. In addition, the webinar also aimed to equip students with skills aligned with industry needs and ongoing technological developments.

During the event, participants took part in a series of activities including material presentations, discussions, and Q&A sessions. In these sessions, students had the opportunity to directly engage with the speaker regarding the use of Accurate software and the challenges of implementing digital accounting in various work sectors.

Mellita Aspuwa Indriana, as the head of the organizing committee, stated in an interview that this webinar is expected to broaden students’ insight into technological developments in accounting while also improving their readiness to face the demands of the working world.

“Through this activity, we hope students not only understand accounting concepts theoretically but also gain knowledge of the use of technology that supports work in the accounting field,” she said.

Through this webinar, HIMADIKSI UNIPMA seeks to provide a learning space that is relevant to the current development of the accounting profession, so that students gain knowledge and skills better prepared to be applied in the workplace.
