The 1447 H Ramadan Festival: Kopma Nirwasita UNIPMA Holds a Children’s Preacher Competition and Creative Arts Showcase

The 1447 H Ramadan Festival organized by the Student Cooperative (Kopma) Nirwasita of PGRI Madiun University (UNIPMA) was held festively on Saturday (14/3). The event took place at Joglo Kampung Tematik, Kelurahan Kelun, Madiun City, and featured various activities including a children’s preacher (Da’i Cilik) competition and a creativity showcase for the younger generation.

Faishal Miftahur Rohmat, as the event chairperson, said in an interview that this activity serves as a platform for participants to channel their talents and creativity while instilling Islamic and preaching values from an early age. “We want to build self-confidence, encourage creativity, and instill religious values in the younger generation,” he said.

The event specifically targeted elementary school students (SD) for the Da’i Cilik competition and high school/vocational school students (SMA/SMK) for the Creativity Showcase, including a dance competition. In addition to the competitions, Kopma Nirwasita also organized a campus bazaar featuring student entrepreneurial products. This activity aims not only to foster creativity but also to strengthen social bonds and promote a spirit of togetherness during the holy month of Ramadan.

The event was fully supported by the advisor of Kopma Nirwasita, Nik Amah, SE, M.Si., CTT., CSRS, as well as the panel of judges, Sesaria Prima Yudhaningtyas, M.Pd and Estuning Dewi Hapsari, S.Pd., M.Pd. The activity also involved village officials from Kelun, including the village head and social welfare officers, as a form of collaboration with the local community.

Faishal added that the selection of Joglo Kelun as the event location was intentional in order to build cooperation with local residents while providing participants with direct experience interacting with the community.

Through this series of activities, it is hoped that the younger generation will gain tangible benefits, both in enhancing creativity and understanding religious values, while also strengthening togetherness during the holy month of Ramadan.
