Monitor the ICT Student Exchange Program and Strengthen International Cooperation, UNIPMA Lecturers Visit NEUST Philippines

Representatives from Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), Mr. Rihan Mustafa Zahri, S.E., M.Ak, and Mr. Rizqi Husaini, S.Pd., M.Pd, visited Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) in the Philippines. This visit is part of the agenda to monitor the ICT student exchange program at UNIPMA and also aims to strengthen the cooperation with partner universities abroad.

The event included a series of activities such as guest lectures, research collaboration discussions, and monitoring the student exchange program for ICT students at UNIPMA. The main focus of the activity was to strengthen the academic relationship between UNIPMA and NEUST, as well as to monitor the progress of students participating in the exchange program. During this opportunity, the lecturers also had a chance to discuss with academic colleagues at NEUST to develop future research collaboration potential.

In an interview, Mr. Rihan Mustafa Zahri, S.E., M.Ak, one of the lecturers involved in the visit, shared the importance of this program for academic development at UNIPMA. "This is the first time I've had a direct discussion abroad. This experience is very valuable because through direct discussions, I gained new insights into different ways of thinking and various benefits that can be applied to academic development," he said enthusiastically on Monday, 25/11/2024.

The ICT program at NEUST has been running since 2021 and has involved several UNIPMA students who are currently participating in the exchange program. Among the latest participants are Eva Dwi Rahayu (Physics Education), Abid Humam Muhtadi (History Education), Agisnatasya M (Elementary School Teacher Education), and Muhammad Ramadhan (Management).

The UNIPMA students involved in this program have shown excellent adaptability, especially in following the practice- and project-based learning system. This has provided them with a deeper and more applicable academic experience in their respective fields.

The visit not only focused on overseeing the academic activities of the students but also on strengthening the potential for future cooperation between UNIPMA and NEUST. Both universities hope to establish more collaboration in research and student exchange, which will undoubtedly bring significant benefits to the development of higher education at both institutions.

The hope for this visit is that UNIPMA will be able to reach more international cooperation opportunities in the future. Furthermore, through programs like this, it is expected that Indonesian culture and tourism, particularly those from Madiun, will become more recognized abroad. Therefore, this international cooperation not only provides academic benefits but also helps to introduce Indonesia's rich culture on the international stage.
