Expanding Access to Education in Timor Leste, UNIPMA and ETI DILI Sign MoU to Establish Cooperation
Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) once again strengthened international synergies by establishing cooperation through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Escola Técnica Informática (ETI Dili) Timor Leste. The signing took place at the ETI Dili Principal's building on 26 October 2024 as part of a series of Indonesian Education Exhibitions organised by the Indonesian Cultural Centre and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Timor Leste.
In the event, UNIPMA was represented by Mrs Dwi Rosita Sari, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D., and Mrs Candra Dewi, S.Pd., M.Pd., while ETI Dili was represented by the Director of ETI Dili, Joao Gaio, L.GI. The signing of this MoU is the first step for both institutions to establish a collaboration that focuses on developing educational capacity and technology skills in Timor Leste.
According to Mrs Dwi Rosita Sari, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D., the signing of the MoU reflects UNIPMA's commitment to expanding its academic network while building strategic partnerships in the field of international education.
‘We hope that through this MoU, UNIPMA and ETI Dili can establish sustainable collaboration, both in curriculum development and in the exchange of knowledge and skills that are relevant to current technological developments,’ said Mrs Dwi Rosita Sari, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D, when interviewed, Friday, 08/11/2024, yesterday.
Ibu Dwi Rosita Sari, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D. added that this collaboration will open up opportunities for further activities such as student exchanges, technology skills training, and collaborative research, which are expected to enrich academic and practical insights for students and lecturers at both institutions.
Through this collaboration, UNIPMA and ETI Dili hope to realise educational programmes that are more adaptive and innovative and create a young generation that is skilled and ready to compete in the digital era.
