1,047 UNIPMA Students Graduate, Ready to Compete In The Global Arena 

A total of 1,047 students of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) officially graduated on Saturday, 26/10/2024, yesterday at Graha Cendekia. The graduates consisted of diploma III, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes. They are from six faculties, namely, the Graduate School, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Faculty of Health and Science, and Faculty of Law.

The 15th graduation ceremony with the theme ‘Realising a Generation of Excellence, Character, and Global Competitiveness’ brought an important message from UNIPMA Rector, Dr Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., to the graduates. ‘This graduation is not the end of the journey, but the beginning for graduates to work in the community,’ he said.

Dr Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., also emphasised the importance of adapting to technological developments and fostering an independent spirit among graduates. ‘My hope is that Unipma graduates are able to face the challenges of the times, dare to take risks, and continue to learn to open their own jobs,’ he said.

Not only making academic achievements, UNIPMA continues to improve the quality of human resources among its lecturers. Now, more than 85 lecturers have doctoral degrees, while around 50 other lecturers are still pursuing doctoral education. ‘Improving the quality of teaching staff is in line with UNIPMA's goal to become a globally competitive campus,’ said Supri.

International cooperation continues to be expanded by UNIPMA, in order to realise a globally competitive campus. In addition, it will add a doctoral education level. ‘’Still waiting for the process of adding one professor as a requirement. Currently, there are two applications for professors who have passed the administration and are still awaiting assessment,‘’ he said. ‘We also plan to add a new study programme, namely pharmacist professional education,’ he added.

With this graduation procession, Unipma confirms its commitment to produce superior generations who are ready to compete in the global arena. The graduates are expected to be able to bring positive changes, inspire the surrounding environment, and become agents of change who contribute to the progress of the nation and the wider community.
