UNIPMA Biology Education Study Programme Holds SIMBIOS VI National Seminar
The Biology Education study programme at Universitas PGRI Madiun held the VI Symbiosis National Seminar via Zoom, on Wednesday, 23/10/2024, yesterday. This activity is a routine agenda for the Biology Education study programme to disseminate the work of students and lecturers collaboratively.
This activity aims to explore the potential of research results in the fields of biology, biotechnology, life science and education as a contribution to the progress of the nation and state. This activity is also to explore the potential and results of real community service as a form of application of the implementation of activities that benefit the community.
SIMBIOSIS VI took the theme ‘Integration of Science and Technology as Innovative Learning Development Towards Golden Indonesia 2045’. The challenges of Indonesia Emas 2045 are felt to be quite challenging for academics and practitioners in developing their findings which are expected to be able to become products that have competitiveness in the international arena.
Various educational, research, applied and service programmes certainly add to the richness of the potential of Indonesia's natural resources and human resources in facing these challenges. ‘As a study programme with superior accreditation, Biology Education study programme is encouraged to be more productive through various academic and non-academic activities on an ongoing basis’ said Dr. Sardulo gembong, M.Pd (FKIP Dean) in his opening remarks.
The development of the world of education, science and technology increasingly challenges academics and practitioners in developing their scientific fields. Education plays an important role in efforts to explore theoretical concepts to foster innovation in various products.
SIMBIOSIS VI presented 3 speakers, namely Dr. Baskoro Adi Prayitno, M.Pd. (UNS Surakarta), Triono Bagus Saputro, M. Biotech.Ph.D (ITS Surabaya), and Dr. Wachidatul Linda Yuhanna (UNIPMA). The three presenters explained the material according to their competence and formed a framework for developing Biology learning.
After the presentation of the three speakers, the activity continued with parallel presentations. Apart from UNIPMA, there were 10 partner universities that presented the results of their research and community service at SIMBIOSIS VI. The synergy between education, research, science and technology by all circles must be interpreted positively as a place to exchange thoughts, ideas, information and other things to produce useful work.
Hopefully SIMBIOSIS VI can be a forum for sustainable development of lecturer and student competencies.
