UNIPMAs New Students Equipped with National Insight to Anti Narcotics Movement

Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) continued the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) on the second day, Tuesday, 02/09/2024, yesterday, with a focus on strengthening national insight and character building. This activity was held at Graha Cendekia and Youtube Streaming.

The Chief Executive of PKKMB UNIPMA 2024, Dr Muh. Waskito Ardhi, S.Pd., M.Pd, emphasised the importance of the material presented in PKKMB. ‘This material is not just part of the formality, but is designed to enrich the insight of new students so that they are ready to face challenges in the campus world and the wider community,’ he said.

The first session discussed National Insight material delivered by Korem 081/DSJ Madiun. This material provides an in-depth view of the importance of maintaining national unity in the challenging era of globalisation.

The second session presented BNPT by discussing material about the dangers of radicalism and terrorism. Students were invited to understand how radicalism can develop in the surrounding environment and how to prevent it.

In the third session, the new students were given a presentation on the development of entrepreneurial spirit. This material is expected to motivate students to dare to innovate and create business opportunities, even since they are still students.

The last material was filled by the National Anti-Narcotics Movement (Granat) Madiun City, which provided education about the dangers of narcotics. PKKMB participants were invited to actively participate in the anti-narcotics movement, as part of an effort to protect the health and future of the younger generation.

One of the new students, Erlangga from the Law Study Programme, expressed his enthusiasm after participating in the activity. ‘I am very happy with the materials provided. It is very useful and provides many new insights for us as new students,’ he said.

PKKMB at UNIPMA will run until Saturday 07/09/2024, and will be followed by a series of activities at the faculty level on 9-12 September 2024. This activity is expected to not only equip new students with knowledge, but also instil positive values that will become the foundation of their academic journey and life in the future.
