The Rector of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), Dr Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd visited Hatyai University (HU) in Thailand, on Tuesday, 10/09/2024, yesterday.  The Rector was accompanied by Mrs Brigitta Septarini Rahmasari, S.S., M.Pd. (BKH National Secretary), and Mrs Puput Jianggimahastu Larastika Suryanto, S.Pd., M.Pd (National Division). The visit was aimed at strengthening international co-operation relations as well as exploring opportunities for joint educational development.

One of the main agenda of the visit was the initiation of cooperation, a guest lecture by Mrs Brigitta Septarini Rahmasari, S.S., M.Pd and Mrs Puput Jianggimahastu Larastika Suryanto, S.Pd., M.Pd. The discussion covered a number of collaborative plans such as International Transfer Credit, lecturer exchange, joint research, and the Sea Teacher programme which allows students to teach across countries.

During the meeting, Dr Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd expressed his admiration for the education system and academic culture at Hatyai University. ‘We are very grateful for the warm welcome from HU. Their learning system, effective way of digital campus promotion, and their efforts to attract international students are very inspiring things,’ he said.

Hopefully, this collaboration can continue to grow, especially in terms of joint research, guest lectures, and various other academic projects. Dr Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd also expressed his intention to adopt some of HU's successful approaches to improve UNIPMA's competitiveness in the international arena.

This collaboration is expected to further strengthen UNIPMA's global network, pave the way for broader educational initiatives, and create new opportunities for both institutions to grow together in the world of international education.
