UNIPMA Announces Improvement in Lecturer Productivity and Educational Staff Achievement

Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) has just completed a series of award activities which are divided into two main parts: Assessment of Lecturer Productivity and Assessment of outstanding Kaprodi and Education Personnel (Tendik). The following is a brief report on the realisation of this activity.

The award agenda began with the Lecturer Productivity Assessment which was held from 1 February to 7 March 2024. Furthermore, the Assessment of Outstanding Kaprodi and Tendik took place from 18 April to 17 May 2024. All activities were successfully carried out on time as planned.

Socialisation of activities was carried out by sending flyers and brief guidelines through functionary groups and tendik employee networks. The novelty of the assessment technique this time is the retrieval of national and international publication data from the lecturer's Google Scholar, Scopus, and Publon accounts without the need for independent submission. For the assessment of scientific works, quality and quantity are considered by taking the 10 best works from each lecturer.

The committee started by sending a circular letter regarding Google Scholar updates independently. Citation data was taken simultaneously on 5 February 2024, it was found that 6 accounts from 257 UNIPMA lecturers were not available, and 15 accounts still contained other people's work. Of the 249 valid accounts, there was an increase in national publications by 46.95% compared to the previous year. For international publications, using Scopus and Publon accounts, as well as GS, the results showed a slight decrease of 1.2%.

The assessment of the abdimas category based on lecturers' independent submissions showed a decrease in the submission ratio of 11.17%. Meanwhile, the inspirational lecturer category has increased by 4.58%.

For the outstanding caprodi category, participation reached 40.7% with 11 out of 27 caprodi submitting themselves, a decrease of 14.85 points from last year. In the outstanding education staff category, participation was 6.3% with 6 out of 94 tendik employees volunteering, a decrease of 5 points from last year. However, there was an increase in quality despite the decrease in the number of proposers.

The favourite non-administrative education personnel category attracted 294 voters, with 4 voters eliminated for not filling in their identity. The distribution of voters consisted of 39% lecturers and employees, and 61% students, so the number of valid voters was 290 people.

The committee assessed the proposals with the principles of objectivity, fairness, honesty, freedom from conflict of interest, and thoroughness. The decision of the Selection Team as outlined in the minutes of this event is final and inviolable, and has been signed by all team members with the knowledge of the Vice Rector for Field II.

With this, it is hoped that lecturers and education personnel will be more enthusiastic in working and submitting themselves in the coming years.
