The PGRI Madiun University Biology Education Study Program held a public lecture with the theme "Literacy and Digital Media Development" on Thursday, (02/11/2023) at the UNIPMA Integrated Lab. The public lecture is intended for Biology Education students as a form of supporting practitioners in Media Literacy and Learning Technology courses.

The resource person for this public lecture was Rizky, M.Kom who is the Director of PT Sebangku Jaya Abadi Yogyakarta. This company operates in the field of innovative learning, board games, literacy and educational games. In this public lecture, he partnered with Dr. Wachidatul Linda Yuhanna, M.Si DBI Lecturer from UNIPMA as the second speaker.

The first speaker, Rizky, M.Kom, said that the development of the world of education towards the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the use of potential platforms is very rapid. "Incorporating IT in the world of education is very important in order to provide smart and creative learning," said Rizky, M.Kom. In his material, Rizky, M.Kom invited students to develop innovative learning media, design educational games, practice game design, and biology teaching media.

Then, Dr. Wachidatul Linda Yuhanna, M.Si as the second speaker conveyed how important it is to improve skills in developing literacy and digital media. "It is very important for students to improve their skills for the sake of developing literacy and digital media. "Especially improving skills in developing media and innovative biology teaching materials," said Dr. Linda.

The aim of the Biology Education Study Program is to hold this public lecture so that prospective teacher students know how important it is to apply skill development in the IT and AI fields, add material for ideas in developing learning media, and increase information related to literacy.
