UNIPMA Lecturers Give Training on School Action Research Writing as an Innovation in Independent Learning 

The Abdimas Team of the PGRI Madiun University English Education Study Program (UNIPMA) led by Dr. Graduated from Irawati, S.S., M.Pd., and consists of Dr. Erlik Widiyani Styati, M.Pd., and two students conducted a School Action Research Writing Training (PTS) as an Innovation in Independent Learning in the principal working group (K3S) in Kawedanan District, Magetan Regency.

This activity is a downstreaming of the results of lecturers' research which is also the implementation of one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Community Service in 2022 which is expected to provide provisions for school principals so that they have knowledge and skills related to School Action Research starting from how to choose a title. good, background, problems, theoretical studies, research methods and so on.

This activity was held on Wednesday, 6/7/2022 in the Teacher Activity Center Hall, Kawedanan District, Magetan Regency. The participants were about 30 school principals in the Kawedanan sub-district.

The Head of K3S Kawedanan District, Mr. Suparno, S.Pd., hopes that through this activity, he can overcome the problems faced by most school principals, namely that most school principals still have difficulty writing principal best practices. Most school principals have not received training, especially training related to writing school action research (PTS).

In addition, in order to improve the quality of learning in schools and school management, school principals can conduct research on private private schools as well as a means of developing their profession. "Please follow this training well, hopefully it will help you to write school action research (PTS) which is a requirement for your promotion," said Suparno when opening the training event.

In carrying out this activity, the leader of the abdimas team, Dr. Graduated with Irawati, S.S., M.Pd. explaining material related to the basic concepts of PTS, stages in writing PTS, how to avoid plagiarism and selecting research titles.

The training participants, namely the principal of the Kawedanan sub-district, were very enthusiastic about participating in this training. This is evidenced by the number of participants sharing the problems that exist in their respective schools to be discussed with the presenters and other training participants.

This activity was also continued with the signing of the MoA/MoU between UNIPMA and K3S in the Kawedanan sub-district, Magetan Regency.

"We hope that with this training activity, school principals in the Kawedanan sub-district can understand the writing of school action research (PTS) so that we can easily compile research for professional development," explained Bu Tuminem, one of the training participants.
