Literacy Champions! UNIPMA Library Unit Presents Library Award to Most Active Visitors
UNIPMA — The Library Unit of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) presented the 2026 Library Award to members of the academic community who actively utilize the library’s collections and services. The award, themed “Literacy Champions,” was presented as part of the commemoration of Library Visit Day, observed every September 14.
This year’s Library Award comprises three categories. In the Most Active Library Visitor category, the awards were presented to Yahya Dai Bahtiar and Anharu Tazrill Fawaid from Informatics Engineering, as well as Frisca Dyah Elvina Dewi from Pharmacy.
The Most Active Library Collection Borrower category was awarded to Intan Winanda from Economics Education, Jesica Arnalita from Management, and Eka Renata Hariyanto from English Education (PBI).
Meanwhile, the Most Active Lecturer and Educational Staff category was awarded to Dr. Abd Rohman Taufiq, S.E., M.S.A., Ak., CA., CSRS., CSRA., CMA., CIBA., CERA; Dr. Dra. Ninik Srijani, M.Pd., MM; and Binti Rohmatin, S.Pd.
UNIPMA librarian Intan Shuruulloh, S.IIP., said the award was a form of appreciation for library users who actively and consistently utilize the library’s services and collections.
“This appreciation aims to increase reading interest, encourage visits to the library, and build a literacy culture within the higher education environment,” said Intan Shuruulloh, S.IIP., on Thursday (Sept. 24).
According to Intan Shuruulloh, S.IIP., libraries in higher education institutions play an important role in supporting learning, research, and knowledge development. Therefore, the award is expected to encourage members of the academic community to make greater use of the facilities and collections available.
One of the award recipients, Binti Rohmatin, said the recognition motivated her to read more and make greater use of the library’s facilities.
“This award motivates me to continue improving my interest in reading and to make greater use of the facilities at the UNIPMA Library,” said Binti Rohmatin, S.Pd.
She said the library helps students obtain references for their academic activities. In addition to academic books, the library also provides a variety of reading materials, including short stories and novels, which can help foster reading interest.
Binti Rohmatin, S.Pd., who is a member of the UNIPMA Student Admission (PMB) content team, also views the library as one of the campus facilities that can be introduced to prospective students.
The 2026 Library Award is part of the UNIPMA Library Unit’s efforts to encourage members of the academic community to use the library as an information resource and as part of their learning activities on campus.
