UNIPMA — The Guidance and Counseling (BK) Study Program of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) showcased the results of its guidance and counseling media development at an exhibition themed “Building Personal Excellence: Assessing Potential, Pursuing Dream Careers” before the Guidance and Counseling Teachers’ Association (MGBK) of MTs in Madiun Regency on Thursday (3/9). The student works were developed during lectures through the HIMABiko Edupreneur or entrepreneurship program.

Through this activity, students presented their products while explaining their benefits and how to use them to BK teachers from MTs in Madiun Regency. This interaction provided students with an opportunity to present their work directly to education practitioners.

Three sixth-semester students involved as presenters were Livya Meyna Widyaningrum, Alda Feriska Andriani, and Nihaayatush Shufiya Annaafi'a. They were accompanied by their academic supervisor, Dr. Diana Ariswanti, S.Pd., M.Psi.

Head of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Dr. Noviyanti Kartika Dewi, M.Pd., Kons., said that the exhibition served as a platform for students to apply the knowledge they gained in lectures through works that can be utilized in guidance and counseling services.

“Students showcased the guidance and counseling products or media they had created while also explaining their benefits and how to use them,” she said.

She added that the activity was also part of the implementation of the tridharma of higher education by connecting learning on campus with educational needs in the field.

In addition to producing tangible works, the activity was designed to develop students’ creativity, teamwork, communication skills, and ability to apply knowledge through practical works.

The UNIPMA Guidance and Counseling Study Program hopes that the activity will encourage students to become more confident and innovative in developing guidance and counseling media. The works they have created are also expected to be further developed so that they can provide broader benefits.

The activity also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 on quality education, SDG 8 on decent work and economic growth, and SDG 17 on partnerships for the goals. This support is realized through strengthening career guidance services, preparing students to enter the workforce, and fostering connections between higher education institutions and professional teacher communities.
